Jeepney & Motorcycle

|
Frankly travel within the
Philippines is usually quite difficult. Ten hour bus rides, boat and
ferry rides that may take two to three days, travel by jeepneys and motorcycles into the
mountains where bridges are often washed out, roads destroyed or areas flooded by
typhoons. This added to many places having no toilet paper, no running water (just an outdoor hand pump or a long rope on a piece of
bamboo -as a lever), into the well, many
places having only a hole in the ground for a toilet, and the fact that most laundry is
hand washed by a labendera (Tagalog for
laundry lady), and the undeclared official
bird is the LAMOKE!! (mosquito) Gotta love it |
